oh the night that patty murphy diedi love canada!!! i love canadian boys!!! i love canadian music!!! i love scots canadian boys who play lovely instruments!!! i am happy to report that i can cross yet another item off my "things to do before i die" list. m.c. and i went and saw great big sea saturday night in honor of my birthday. what can i say? it was great. they played with a band called carbon leaf who were amazing too. i could have done with out the lesbian couple making out directly in front of us for the entire show, though. i swear, if they had been hetero, i would have kicked them both in the head. obnoxious. later i had the very interesting experience of the rockabilly subculture, when m.c. took me to a party where some of her friends were playing. talk about crazy. these people (most of them) live in this created persona of a 50's rebel. then i demonstrated, once again, that if there is a creepy male within a 1 mile radius of me, he will find me... sigh. some things never change.is a night i'll never forget...
