sometimes i amaze even myself.
"did they get you to trade your heros for ghosts, hot ashes for trees? hot air for a cool breeze? cold comfort for change? did you exchange a walk-on part in the war for a lead-rope and a cage?"
in other news: it was so great to see my friends from a lifetime ago. really great. we had one glorious night in which we packed mada, gretch, muffin, kristen e., erin d., and chari into the basement and talked and laughed and drank (though not to excess), and it was wonderful. mada and gretch stayed for a week and i loved it, though i was utterly exhausted and most likely not a great companion. and meredith, the great man-killer herself, so independant, flighty, and free, is married. and he loves her. so i can say that i've seen it with my own eyes and like thomas, i believe.
hmmm... the earth is changing. i can feel it in the air.
