2003-03-30 - 8:04 p.m. my home and nauseating land i can hardly stifle my contempt for many of the people i've called friends. frig, when did everyone join the intellectual bandwagon that appears to be so popular amongst ignorant high schoolers, emotive mid-twenty-year-olds, and aged peace-protesters from the sixties? it's so fucking fashionable to criticize all things american and all things christian... i wonder, though, if we cannot love that from whence we come, if we are capable of loving anything at all, in any real sense. what i mean is this------------- "A man's country is not a certain area of land, of mountains, rivers, and woods, but it is a principle; and patriotism is loyalty to that principle." -- George William Curtis to be continued...
