it happened in my twenty third year, that i looked around and finally woke to the world. in the grand scheme of things, nothing changed, really. it's just that for some reason my ears pricked up, and like the proverbial canary, my system screamed that disaster lay ahead, but the whole world plunged forward misunderstanding my maniac song as some silly result of overeducating a girl. but i get ahead of myself.
it began in a fairytale, simple and insidious, that had grown in my head. a lie that someone told me, that everyone told me in a thousand thousand indiscernable nuances and a hundred hundred untraceable phrases. ____________________________________________
